Now booking for the autumn grant cycle — limited writer availability

Home / About

Great missions shouldn’t lose to weak paperwork.

Ink Well began with a simple frustration: remarkable organizations losing funding — not because their work wasn’t worthy, but because the proposal never did it justice. We exist to make sure that never happens to you.

Our story

Where the ink began.

We’ve sat on both sides of the table — writing the proposals and watching how reviewers actually read them.

That vantage point taught us something most applicants never see: funders rarely reject ideas. They reject confusion. A muddled budget, a buried outcome, a missed eligibility line — small things that quietly sink big missions.

So we built Ink Well around one obsession: making sure the strength of your work is never lost in translation. Every proposal we write is a careful act of advocacy for the people and ideas behind it.

“You bring the mission. We make sure the page does it justice.”

Today we partner with nonprofits, founders, and individuals across more than fifty funding sectors — from first-time applicants chasing a single foundation grant to established teams managing a full calendar of federal deadlines.

What hasn’t changed is the belief we started with: when good work gets funded, communities win. We’re simply here to even the odds.

What we stand for

Four principles behind every proposal.

Craft over templates

No copy-paste boilerplate. Every proposal is written from scratch in your voice, for one specific funder and one specific goal.

Honesty over hype

We’ll never promise a guaranteed win or take a cut of your award. We tell you the real odds — then build the strongest possible case.

Partnership over transactions

You get a dedicated writer who learns your work, not a faceless queue. We’re in your corner before, during, and after submission.

Impact over output

Our job isn’t to file applications — it’s to move funding toward the work that deserves it. Your outcomes are how we measure ours.
